1. Who we are

LoveyDovey AI operates the companion chat available at loveydovey.run. Where this policy says "we", "us" or "LoveyDovey AI", it refers to the company running that service and responsible for the data described below.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers the LoveyDovey AI website, the companion chat and the account area. It does not cover third-party websites you reach through links, app stores or payment pages hosted by our processors.

3. Age requirement

LoveyDovey AI is available to adults only. Accounts are limited to members aged 18 or older, and we delete any account discovered to belong to a minor together with its data.

4. Account information

When you register we store an email address, a hashed password (or a token from the sign-in provider you chose), a display name and your account preferences such as language and plan.

5. Conversation content

Messages, voice notes and the companion settings you create are stored so that your companion can continue the conversation later. This content is linked to your account and is never shown to other members.

6. Payment information

Card numbers never reach our servers. Payments are handled by licensed payment providers; we keep only the transaction reference, plan name, amount, currency, date and billing country needed for accounting.

7. Technical information

Our servers record IP address, device type, browser, operating system, referring page and timestamps. This information supports security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting.

8. Cookies and similar files

We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and session security, preference cookies to remember your settings and, where permitted, measurement cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though sign-in will stop working without the necessary ones.

9. Analytics

We measure aggregated usage — pages viewed, features opened, errors triggered — to decide what to improve. Analytics reports do not include the text of your conversations.

10. Why we process your data

• To generate companion replies and keep conversational memory.

11. Legal grounds

Depending on your location we rely on the performance of our agreement with you, your consent (for optional cookies and marketing), our legitimate interest in a safe and functioning service, and compliance with legal obligations.

12. Service providers

We work with hosting, model inference, email delivery, payment and anti-fraud providers. Each of them receives only the data required for their task and is bound by a written agreement forbidding any other use.

13. International transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where that happens we use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or transfers to jurisdictions with an adequacy decision.

14. How long we keep data

Account and conversation data are kept while your account is open. After deletion, live copies are removed within thirty days and backups cycle out within ninety days. Invoicing records are retained for the period tax law requires.

15. Security measures

We use encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored conversations, hashed credentials, access limited to a small number of trained staff, activity logging and regular reviews of our infrastructure.

16. Right of access

You may ask what personal data LoveyDovey AI holds about you and receive a copy. We answer verified requests within thirty days.

17. Right to correction

Most details can be edited directly in your account. If something cannot be changed there, write to us and we will correct it.

18. Deleting your account

Account deletion is available in your settings and removes your profile, companions and stored conversations according to the periods in section 14. Deletion cannot be undone.

19. Data portability

On request we provide your account details and conversation history in a machine-readable file so you can keep or transfer them.

20. Marketing communications

Service emails (receipts, security notices) are always sent. Promotional emails are optional and every one of them carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

21. Automated processing

Companion replies and content filters are produced automatically. These processes do not create legal effects for you; account restrictions that follow a filter alert are reviewed by a person before they become permanent.

22. Moderation

Automated filters check content against our prohibited-use rules. Flagged material may be reviewed by trained staff strictly for safety purposes, and confirmed violations may lead to suspension.

23. Disclosure required by law

We disclose data only when a valid legal order requires it, when necessary to protect the safety of a person, or to defend our legal rights. Where we are permitted to tell you, we will.

24. Business transfers

If LoveyDovey AI is sold, merged or reorganised, member data may transfer to the successor under the same protections. You will be notified before any change of controller takes effect.

25. Links to other sites

Pages outside loveydovey.run have their own privacy practices. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they collect.

26. Regional rights

Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom hold the rights listed in the GDPR. California residents may request disclosure or deletion and may opt out of any sharing; LoveyDovey AI does not sell personal information.

27. Complaints

If you believe your data has been handled incorrectly, contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

28. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page and, for material changes, notify members by email or an in-account notice before the new version applies.
